Dynafit's Ultra Pro 2 is a long-distance shoe; they probably made it especially for you. Made to minimize weight but maximize cush, they'll keep your feet fresh for that extra long push. The new Speed Lite midsole reduces impacts on heels but still provides great, even tremendous, trail feel. Based on the Ultra 100 but sort of grown up, you could run the Javelina Jundred as a warm-up. Retaining Vibram's Megagrip outsole, which grips slabs that are wet, it'll keep you sure-footed on all terrain that you'll get. If your running partners don't have much patience, good news, the Speed lacing system is gonna make sense. It would be sad, but if you could only have but one shoe, you should strongly consider the Ultra Pro 2.
